  2. Well Susan, I am going to research and tell you. I have a project in my A&P II class and we have to research a organ or organ system. I chose the lymphatic system and breast cancer can spread into the lymph nodes. I am also researching Hodgkin's disease which also affects the lymphatic system. I did my first part of the project and hope I did well.

There are a lot of risk factors for breast cancer. Some of those risk are, age (women over 60), family history, genes (If a certain gene is found), whether or not you have kids, what age you have kids, overweight, and many more (Nutrition action health letter, 2008).

Early detection is the key with any cancer and having regular check-ups, mammogram, and breast self examinations can help in the treatment if diagnosed with breast cancer.

I hope I answered your question Sue. Thank you for asking.

    Thank you
    Sonya Wolfe
