The end is here for Composition II

Hi everyone,  I would like to thank my classmates and Professor for being supportive the last 10 weeks.  Some strengths I have learned is to first writie an outline, read, revise, and edit. Learning the paramedic method is something I will use in future writing.  I do need some improvement on comma use, comma splice, and making sure my sentences are clearly written.  I enjoyed this class and I had fun learning from everyone.  I never liked writing and having such a great experience with Comp I and II, I do like writing more now than I ever have in life. Thank you Professor and class for helping me become a better writing.

Thank you and best wished to all!!!

What have I struggled with?

This class has been a great learning experience and I have enjoyed writing. I struggled with getting started and keeping things in order.  It was a little tough finding all the information, but I found enough to finish my paper.  I was a little disappointed on the discussion board this week, would have liked to get more than one peer review. Thank you Suzan for my peer review it was very helpful.  I hope I was helpful on the papers I read and please it was not personal. I only followed directions. I am proud to say I started working on my final projects and want to get them in to the writing center this weekend.  Happy writing and have a great week!!

Peers Reviews

Hi everyone, This week I am talking about peer review and giving advice to my classmates on their papers.  I have never done peer reviews before and I hope I can give constructive critisim on the information they have provided.  I am rather nervous about this process, but I know it will help my paper when getting advice from others. I think overall it gives you a different perspective on what we are writing and hope to use this information to create a great paper. I want to be able to help my classmates create a great paper and hopefully with the advice I can give will have good end results.  Good luck to all this week and on the final project.

Have a great week !!

The Last Two Weeks

Hi everyone, I have been a busy lady the last two weeks.  My daughter has been expecting my grand baby so I have been excited and waiting patiently. Well she had my grand baby Malachi James Wolfe and he was born on September 27, 2010 at 9:47 pm, weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.  He is healthy and we are home enjoying this new addition to our family.  I have been busy with school and trying to get the two projects done that are due on Tuesday.  Still trying to find work and cannot seem to get any call backs. It is tough to find a job these days, but when I get a degree I hope to find a good job and help people.  I am very happy to have my first grand baby and I am very proud of my daughter she did a great job !! Babies are such a great gift from god !!

Academic Challenges

I must say the challenges I face week to week is answering the discussion board with a thorough answer. I try my best to answer the question and to give complete answers, but sometimes this does not happen. I get frustrated and overwhelmed at times but I know I just have to do my best and look at this positively. I am challenged this week with two papers due next week and having writers block. I have started one of my papers and now I am stumped on where to go next. I know I will figure it out, it is just a matter of getting started again.  I just to take a deep breathe and know that I can overcome these challenges and do a good job. I hope everyone does well on they're papers and good luck!!

Enjoying Life

I think back when I was a kid and how I just wanted to be an adult.  I know now that it is much easier to be a kid and to enjoy being young and having no worries.  I look at my children and think how fast they grew up and how fast life passes us by so we need to enjoy life to the fullest.  I enjoy everyday with my family and it is fun just to sit and laugh at little things that happen.  I am a happy person and I don't let much get me down.  Life is way to short to worry about things we can not control so look at everyday as a blessing and enjoy.

Staying Positive

Hi everyone I am writing this week about staying positve.  I must say there are times when I wanted to just give up and quit.    I was promised a lot of things from a man I was married to for 13 years and turned out to be lies.  I guess he thought he could control me even after our divorce, but he found out soon enough that he did not have control of my life. He found out the only way he could control me was with money and so here we are.  Well, since I started school and moved back to Florida things have changed.  It took this process to figure out I need to stay focused on school, my children, and just staying positve about everything.  I think looking at things with a positvie attitude gives me a sense of  control.  I am in control of what happens to me and what I want out of life and nothing will ever change this.  I am a outgoing person, love to talk, love to meet new people, helping people and with my career as a medical assistant I will be able to accomplish all these things.  Having a positive outlook and attitude has helped me to become a great student and a better person.  I know we all will be successful in life and having a positive attitude will make it easiser.

Thank you

Dealing with the ups and downs in life

I have dealt with many ups and downs in life getting divorced, being homeless, and moving back in with my parents at age 42.  I know that these things have only given me strength to succeed with my education so I can provide for my children and myself.  I lived in Arizona for 13 years and did not see my mom and dad much so it is nice to see them everyday.  I was away from FL for so long and now I get to see my family on a regular basis and family is important to me.  I know we all have had things to deal with throughout life and it is all how we look at a situation and what we can do to change the situation.  I know when I have a degree in hand I will be very proud of my accomplishments.  I look forward to reading my classmates blogs and getting to know them.
